• 2024-2025 Kindergarten Registration

    There are no eligibility requirements for our 3 traditional district-wide full-day Kindergarten programs, other than age. Children entering Kindergarten in the fall must be 5 years old on or before September 1st of that school year. If a child is not eligible for enrollment per the guidelines specified above, but will be 5 years old by December 1st, a parent or legal guardian can apply for a waiver to enroll the student in Kindergarten. 

    If you are interested in Kindergarten Enrollment at Okemos Public Montessori, please see the website for information, as the process differs from Bennett Woods, Cornell and Hiawatha Elementary Schools.

    Kindergarten Registration link for 2024-2025 

    In order to have your child/children completely registered for school, we will need all documents listed below as soon as possible.

    Please email an electronic copy of the following items for your child:

    • Birth certificate

    • Immunization records (meeting Michigan requirements)

    • Proof of residency dated within 30 days of the current date. (current lease agreement or mortgage payment, tax bill, or utility bill, with your name and address on it).  

    • School records (if available)

    Bennett Woods Kindergarten Informational Presentation

    Please make note of the following dates for the 2024-2025 school year:

    • March 1, 2024 - Kindergarten Registration opens 

    • April 17, 2024 - Bennett Woods Kindergarten Round Up:  multiple 30 minute sessions by appointment only (a link to sign up will be sent to you upon registration for kindergarten)
