My name is Mrs. Erica Harris. I got married in the summer of 2018, so you may know me as Miss Nishon. I am delighted to be your child's teacher this year! I taught Begindergarten at Hiawatha for two years. I have taught second grade for six years, and I am excited to begin my seventh year of second grade! I graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelors in Child Development and an Elementary Teaching Certificate. I completed my Masters in Teaching and Curriculum with a focus on literacy at Michigan State, as well. I grew up in Okemos and attended Hiawatha throughout my elementary years. I love being back at this wonderful school! I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, playing with my puppy, traveling, playing hockey, and weight lifting! I am excited to get to know and work with second graders and their families this year!
